We’ve been hosting Play & Watch events in Barcelona since 2018, carefully crafting an itinerary that blends world-class tennis with the vibrant spirit of the city. From admiring the stunning La Sagrada Familia to enjoying authentic tapas by the marina, you’ll experience the very best of Catalonian culture.

This break is designed for those who live and breathe tennis. You’ll enjoy expert-led coaching sessions and step into the energy of the ATP tour, witnessing some of the sport’s biggest names on the iconic clay courts of the Barcelona Open.

The Event

Witness world-class tennis at the ATP 500 Barcelona Open.

As part of your trip, you’ll attend the Quarter Finals of the Men’s Barcelona Open – one of the most exciting stages of the tournament, where top players battle it out on the iconic red clay.

Rafael Nadal has claimed a record-breaking 12 titles here, and the event continues to attract the biggest stars in the game. Expect thrilling rallies, fierce competition, and an electric atmosphere in the stands.

It’s a unique chance to see elite clay court tennis up close, in a stunning setting – a true highlight of the trip.

Where do we stay?

Relax in style at the AC Hotel Victoria Suites by Marriott.

Our base for the trip is the AC Hotel Victoria Suites, a stylish and spacious hotel rated ‘Very Good’ on TripAdvisor – and for good reason. It’s perfectly located for exploring Barcelona and provides a comfortable retreat after a day of tennis and sightseeing.

Expect generously sized rooms, excellent facilities, and the quality you’d expect from a Marriott property. While the hotel doesn’t have a pool, our itinerary is so full of exciting activities you likely won’t miss it!

It’s the ideal spot to unwind, recharge, and enjoy everything this unforgettable tennis break has to offer.

How do we get around?

Getting around Barcelona is easy – and all taken care of for you.

We use a mix of public transport, taxis and walking to explore this vibrant city. From the hotel to the tournament and everywhere in between, we’ve carefully planned the itinerary to keep travel simple and efficient.

Where possible, we’ve positioned activities close together to minimise travel time and costs, so you can focus on enjoying the experience – not worrying about logistics.

Your Trip

We’ve been creating the perfect itinerary since 2006. Explore what you’ll get up-to below. Please note our itineraries are subject to change.

With the large volumes of flights to Barcelona – just choose the one that fits your schedule the best!

It’s approximately a 25 minute drive from Barcelona El Prat to AC Hotel Victoria Suites by Marriott. We can organise a transfer for you, or alternatively you can make your own way to the hotel.

We’ll be there to greet you on arrival, and your host in your WhatsApp group will be in touch at all times.

After a great nights sleep, it’s time to get up and at it! We start the day with a plentiful breakfast at our hotel (AC Hotel Victoria Suites by Marriott). The have a quick welcome meeting with the group ahead of a full day of tennis.

We are playing Tennis at the ‘Laietà Tennis Club’ which as fantastic club, around a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

We play tennis from 09:00 – 11:00am with a fun coaching session on the clay courts, which is all about dominating from the back. Following tennis, we have a quick stretch and then a nice long, leisurely lunch at the club. You can also sneak on for an extra hit if you’d like to (please note the courts are chargeable outside of our scheduled hours).

Following lunch we do a ‘Tennis Masterclass’ – where we show you how to position yourself correctly in doubles. It’s then your turn to have a go – with our Doubles Social & Coach Fed Drills session.

It’s a short walk back to the hotel, then we head out to  Dinner with the Group at the Central Park BCN Restaurant (approx cost €30 – €50). This is a short walk from the hotel.

It’s another full day of Tennis today! After our hearty breakfast at the hotel, we head back to the Tennis Club for a morning of Tennis Coaching – which is all about your ability to control the net.

After tennis we have a quick stretch, and a long lunch at the club until we restart again for our Tennis Masterclass at 13:30.

Today’s masterclass is all about starting and ending points – it’s good fun and you’ll take a few top tips away. It’s then your turn to play some top tennis and put the tips into action on the red clay courts!

Boy, do we have a fun evening in store for you! After a quick shower post tennis, we head out for dinner with the Group at the Lena Dani Garcia Restaurant (approx cost €30 – €50).

Today we are at the Barcelona Open all day for the Quarter finals of the Mens ATP 500 event. It’s a jam packed today full of incredible tennis. We will be seated in the Tribuna B1 section.
We’ll have lunch at the event, and have plenty of time to take in the atmosphere.

In the evening we head to the Setze Restaurant, a short walk from the hotel and offers: “Mediterranean cuisine done exceptionally well.”

Today is the departure day! We have a final breakfast with the group, then it’s over to you! You can choose to get a midday flight back, or spend a full day in Barcelona and fly back in the evening.
