My first Active Away holiday and it lived up to all my expectations! Fantastic resort at Lyttos Mare in Crete with great food, drinks and service. And fabulous tennis with brilliant coaches. It was so well organised every day - and night - and I loved every minute. Thanks to Matt, Dan Dan the WhatsApp man, Todd, Charlie, Marek and Timo. I had a blast and will definitely be booking again.

It was a fantastic holiday. Superb coaching and so well organised. Can’t wait for next year.

The format for each day works really well – in the morning they provide excellent tennis coaching (not your average tennis drills but really game changing strategies), followed by a nice long break for lunch, then late afternoon/early evening competitive, social doubles play every day of the holiday (with freedom to opt in/out of any sessions to suit your personal preference) with one mid week day off to do some sight-seeing or chill by the pool/beach. They also put on exhibition matches where you watch the coaches in a half hour’s Masterclass each day. Active Away provide a perfect tennis holiday, all organised and run by top level coaches! That’s just the tennis. Active Away go all out to ensure everyone has a brilliant holiday in the various high quality (4 and 5 star) resorts they operate in. This includes meeting you at the Airport, getting you to the hotel and throughout the week checking with you to make sure you are enjoying your holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend Active Away to any enthusiastic tennis player. I recently returned from an Active Away tennis holiday in Crete and it was an all-round great experience. The tennis coaching was excellent and very well organised. The hotel was luxurious and food and drinks were amazing. I would definitely recommend this holiday company and resort to any level tennis player.

Superb hosting and with a great venue. The hosts were always at pains to ensure we knew what the program was and what was coming up the next day. The tennis centre was absolutely perfect with a shop and very helpful staff (Kleanthis and Katrina). The hotel facilities were peerless and staff very polite and professional. Would go there again in a heartbeat!

We recently joined a tennis vacation on Crete organised by Matt Allen and his team of coaches from Active Away. The 5 star hotel Lyttos Mare had a great tennis facility. This is the third time we join a tennis vacation/ training camp with Active Away, and we have always been satisfied; they have exceeded our expectation each time. Just had a fantastic week away in Crete (Lyttos Mare) with Matt Allen and his coaching team. This is the second year running that my wife and I have been on a Tennis Holiday with Active Away and I can't recommend it highly enough. A special mention to the coaches from Chiswick Riverside (Louis Tonkin and Alex Bull) who brought so many members from the club together to go on this trip.

Wow, what an incredible week. In Tennis heaven with some brilliant coaching and drills in the mornings. The perfect length of time in the afternoons to relax and then a great mix of doubles play late afternoon. An opportunity to play with lots of different people. The Active Away team know how to get the most out of you on the court and ensure you have a fun sociable time off the court. Can't wait for next year!

Simply the best tennis holiday I have ever been on

Top class tennis coaching and the opportunity to meet new people through sport - and all in an amazing hotel resort with great food, swimming pools and sea. Our Active Away hosts/coaches were exceptional and great fun to be with.

This “hosted” tennis holiday in an all-inclusive 5* hotel is perfect for tennis playing singles, couples or a group of friends. The excellent coaching and tennis drills in the morning can be practiced in competitive play in the afternoon. Meals are taken “en masse” ensuring lively conversation & the making of new friends. Will definitely book again & have no hesitation in recommending.

Second ActiveAway holiday and loved every minute. The admin and coaching staff went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic time.

Josh and Dan were fantastic coaches and hosts, really a great pair of guys who delivered every coaching session professional and easy to follow. Both extremely friendly, excellent personalities, great conversation and making sure everyone felt involved in the tennis and social evenings. been a few years for obvious reasons but so glad to be back with Active Away! Love the new Louis Cayer inspired tennis schedule and master classes - learnt a few new pointers that can't wait to put into practise. Had a brilliant group of people this week and we just all got on so well. Resort was lovely, although only managed to try out 2 of the 27 pools:) Thank you Matt, Mark, Max and Finn for making my return to the fold so special and looking forward to the next one. Katie

This was my first experience with Active Away so was looking forward to see how it compared to the tennis at La Manga, which is my usual tennis holiday. Well, it was the best tennis holiday I have ever been on and the whole coaching program was incredible, out surpassing the coaching I received at La Manga! The whole way the coaching is set up is perfect and the coaches were fantastic. Guy, Chris and Mike each had there own coaching style which I found brilliant, with having more sessions with Chris & Mike I cannot fault their approach, and learnt so much from both of them. Guy was a fun host with a great spirit for fun whilst learning and the “apres tennis” was a great way to really get to know the coaches and the others in the group. I had a private lesson with Chris, who gave me a new approach to take on board for my forehand, which I have never been told before. He is an amazing coach with enthusiasm that shines through and he really breaks down the techniques to benefit your game. Mike also gave me some incredible techniques to think about and again is full of enthusiasm on court which is just an energy booster to the whole programme. All coaches watch without you knowing and despite Guy only taking my group for one session he gave me advice for my second serve. I honestly cannot praise these coaches enough, or the whole process of the week. Guy, Chris and “ my bro” Mike have taught me so much and have become friends during the week, they really made my first tennis holiday with Active Away the most incredible, fun, and perfect break. I am now an Active Away holiday convert and have already booked for next year !!

This was my first Activeaway holiday and it certainly won't be the last! Having not played tennis for 10 years due to various joint injuries I was somewhat nervous about the whole concept of playing with others. After 1 day of playing it all started to return - rusty for sure, but it all came flooding back and although probably one of the weaker players it didn't matter at all as everyone mixes in and your game gets stronger and stronger as the week progresses. I LOVED every minute of it. The hosts were fantastic - Josh, Chris and Jake. They are not only fabulous coaches, but fabulous hosts and individuals both on and off the court. The Ikos Aria hotel was out of this world with their service and attention to detail as well. It is a holiday not to be missed if you want great tennis coaching (regardless of your level), a good laugh and plenty of pampering in a first class hotel....not to mention the cocktails on the beach! First Active Away holiday was May 2019. Didn't know what to expect but it exceeded expectations. The organisation and tennis was brilliant, with coaching, fun tournaments and organised courts in down time of people asked for it. Lunches and dinners everyone mixed together so there was plenty of time to chat to coaches and other guests alike. The venue at Lyttos Beach was great too. I genuinely couldn't fault the experience and I'll be going to a coaching day in August already. I will certainly be looking to go again in the future - solo or group travellers are made very welcome as I saw from the mixture on my trip.

The best Tennis Holiday I have ever had the coaches are amazing not only on their coaches skills , they are also very caring and passionate on everything they do, they do everything they can to make your holiday amazing they even spend their free time meetings us for Dinner and drinks afterwards no one is ever left on their own (unless you want to be). Had such a good time on my first activeaway holiday. There was airport transfer, everything single aspect of the tennis holiday was taken care of. Lots of tennis coaching and playing social. What an amazing holiday! A small group of players from our tennis club went along to Lyttos Beach for our first Active Away holiday, not quite knowing what to expect, but we were made to feel so welcome and involved. The coaching team were a perfect mix of professional and sociable. What a friendly, approachable bunch of guys! You could really tell that it meant a lot to them that you enjoyed yourself, they seemed to bring the best out in all the holiday goers, which created a real feel-good mood for the entire week and I came away from it feeling like I had taken so much from it as a tennis player too. Our host, Josh, was fantastic; clearly a VERY good tennis player and coach, but so humble and down to Earth with it too. He was great at talking to large groups and made it feel like you were never under pressure to do anything on the itinerary, but it was so well put together and so much fun that you'd always want to and it felt like he would be happy to go out of his way to make your holiday that extra bit better for you if he could. The resort itself was really lovely. Beautiful setting, loads of courts of different surfaces. The food was really great (especially for an all inclusive set-up) and the drinks were plentiful! I thought it was great value for money, given the quality of the coaching and facilities and for how enjoyable the whole experience was. My only hope is that our next one will be this good, because it's certainly going to be hard to top!

Just back from a week at Lyttos Beach, had a brilliant time. The coaches are really welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, played loads of tennis and learnt some great stuff, and met some lovely people. You don't have to be an amazing player to go either, I'm not but had loads of fun, the coaches put you in groups with those of a similar standard and your tennis can come a long way in the space of a week when you're playing every day. If you like tennis and holidays in warm, sunny places, you should definitely give Active Away a try.

I’ve had a fantastic week of tennis at Lytton Beach in Crete with Josh and his amazing team. I’ve not long got home but I feel the need to write this review as I was so impressed with this amazing tennis holiday. The tennis was well organised and the coaches were approachable and available to all of us. The group lessons was well planned and the individual lesson was fantastic. I’ve learned topspin and slice, something I did not expect to learn in one week!, The hotel food, entertainment and facilities were of high standards. Just returned from an amazing tennis holiday at Littos Beach Crete with Active Away. Our third time with this company. These guys are attentive to everyone in the group on and off the tennis court whether you are a lone traveller or in a group. Tennis coaching of a high standard and plenty of it, it's fine to dip in and out if you fancy some time by one of the many pools or the beach. I went to Lyttos Beach in May 2018. My first Active Away holiday. I went solo which isn't a problem because you are immediately in a group activity and making friends is natural. The resort is good. Plenty of courts and other activities to hand. The tennis consists of coaching in the morning and social tennis in the afternoon. The coaches were superb. Not just in tennis terms but also they made sure everyone had a great time socially.I have no hesitation in awarding 5 stars assessment of my holiday. Phil Jones, Merseyside.

Just returned from another fantastic week with ActiveAway at Lyttos Beach. Everything from the initial booking to the return transfer was excellent. It was good to meet up again with people from previous holidays.The coaching team led by Josh was amazing and was very inclusive regardless of age or ability. Coaching was of a high quality with always something new to learn and take away. The club afternoon tennis was well organised, good fun and a chance to play against a range of players.
