Just back from a week of tennis with Active Away at the Liberty Lykia. Lovely hotel in a stunning location. But it’s the AA coaches who make it so special. They really help to improve our tennis skills, then join in socially in the evening. You’ll come home exhausted but it’s one of the best weeks you can have. Can’t recommend highly enough. Another excellent Active Away holiday with great hosts, Steve and Jack plus the coaching team. Many of us were returners to the lovely Liberty resort but was also great to meet new guests. Highly recommend.

This was our first trip with Active Away, and we'll definitely be back! The coaching and drills have massively improved my game; before this week my netplay was non-existent - now I'm approaching the net with joy (!) and managing to put a fair few away! The coaches were patient, attentive and passionate about improving skills, whilst making everything fun and relaxed - which is such a perfect combintation for learning. But I think the thing that struck me the most was how invested they all were in improving your game - we were literally driving away in the taxi at the end of the holiday and Steve (who owns the company and therefore might have other things on his mind (!)) was hanging in the door giving my husband last tips to improve his forehand technique. They have absolutely nailed the personal touch - it was a friendly, fun and supportive week. Thanks Steve, Jack and the team.

This was my second Active Away holiday, and it was even better than the first. The coaching was challenging and fun, and the match play was well organised. The tennis courts at the hotel were great, as were all the other hotel facilities, and the food was just fabulous. I had such a fun time, made new friends, and definitely plan to book next year.

I’ve just returned from my 7th Active Away holiday and each time I come away with new skills and new friends. We stayed at Liberty Lykia Adults only in Turkey. The coaching and hosting is second to none. Despite poor weather, we somehow managed to fit in all our tennis. Off court we had lots of fun swimming, eating drinking, dancing and playing games. The Active Away formula is unique. The coaching team are extremely well trained, full of energy, highly skilled and always encouraging. With the weather almost guaranteed to be perfect and the hotel really faultless I would recommend Active Away to anyone who wants to improve their doubles game. The week was a physical challenge but such fun!

This was our first experience of Active Away - and indeed of a tennis holiday of any kind - and, in every sense, it easily surpassed any expectations we might have had. We spent a week in an idyllically beautiful place cradled between sea and mountains. We played a great deal of tennis on fantastic courts with the most beautiful wooded mountains for a backdrop. The coaching programme covered a lot of ground and was always coherent and well thought out. It was also well-paced, well-staged, well-explained and very well delivered by a brilliant coaching team who worked well together and created, from the off, a lovely sense of enthusiasm and positive group energy. The coaches were also good fun and excellent company off the court. We also thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other members of the group. All in all, we had a lot of fun, learned a lot, played loads of tennis and had the time to enjoy the incredible range and quality of the facilities offered by the Liberty Lykia hotel - not to mention the amazing range of delicious food and the invariably courteous and helpful hotel staff. Several members of our group had been on Active Away holidays before, in some cases several times, and I can easily see ourselves going back. On the strength of our experience last week, I would recommend Active Away to anyone who would like to work on their doubles game while also having an altogether fantastic holiday!

Just returned from our second Active Away tennis holiday in Turkey. If anything, the holiday was even better than last year somehow. The tennis programme is brilliant, pitched so that all levels can get something out of it. The coaches give specific feedback which you can take away to help improve your game outside of the holiday. The coaching team also put in a lot of effort outside of the tennis - if you want company they are there, if you don’t they don’t bug you. Perfect! The hotel was completely amazing - food, facilities, and above all the staff. If you love tennis and love going on holiday, I can’t rate this highly enough.

I'd encourage anyone who enjoys tennis to book a holiday with Active Away. For context, I was a solo traveller who only manages to play an hour a week in the UK and I can genuinely say I had a brilliant time! The coaching sessions were tailored to be spot-on both for me and everyone up to competitive club players. As well as improving our skills on the court, the hosting/coaching team really cared about making sure everyone felt included and was having fun off the court. The group enjoyed plenty of laughs alongside some friendly competition and I'm sure I'll be booking again.

The host and tennis coaches were exceptional, as was the process of booking the holiday. I have never come across a holiday company that is so attentive to it’s guests: from the individual to the group, and from the tennis coaching to the social aspects.

Just got back from my 5th Activeaway holiday and they just get better each year. Four of those holidays have been at Liberty Lykia adults only hotel , which this year had made many improvements, including excellent new restaurants and bars and new Padel courts . As an all- inclusive resort with many activities and stunning location, it is the best place for a tennis holiday . Food is really varied and absolutely delicious. The quality of the coaching programme and its delivery are very high. Nothing is too much for the coaches. On- and off court, they are great communicators and great fun to hang out with at the bar or at dinner. This year we had a new coaching programme, designed with Jamie Murray, and we all learnt new strokes and strategies that we were able to practice during the week. We were expertly hosted by Alex and Steve this week, but all of the coaches were skilled at their jobs, which is a reflection of the thorough training they receive. As always, when the week ends, I am planning my next Activeaway holiday. I cannot recommend Activeaway holidays enough - for any level of tennis player.

I had an amazing week in Turkey (Liberty Lykia) with Active Away! It was my first holiday with the company and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the whole experience. I travelled on my own and didn’t know what to expect. I was blown away by how welcoming and friendly everyone was. The coaches are not only excellent on the court, they all have outstanding interpersonal skills and are an absolute pleasure to be with. My understanding of tactical aspects of tennis doubles is so much better now and I’m overall more confident in my play. I loved the Liberty Lykia Resort. I stayed at the adult only hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities are very good and the food is delicious. I’m already looking forward to my next tennis holiday with Active Away. Five out of five ⭐️

I thought the active experience was on the whole very positive. The morning coaching, hotel, and friendly interaction by the coaches with the guests on and off court extremely good. However I thought more attention could have been made towards individual guests’ tennis pairings as the same players were consistently put together , so if paired with weak players at the start of the week invariably were paired again with the same players during the week and therefore never got a chance to improve. It was a ‘copy and paste’ exercise. This was confirmed to me very late in the week when I was actually asked by a coach who I was. It was for this reason I decided not to participate in the Friday session as I had lost interest by then. I don’t wish you think I have any complaints regarding the coaches as they were all a great bunch of guys, I just feel that as this was a ‘tennis improvement ’ holiday this didn’t work out as my tennis didn’t have a chance to improve as IIt was difficult to put into practice in the afternoons what I had learnt in the morning coaching sessions

An Active away tennis holiday is that rare thing; it is so good you want to do it again. The 4 of us had a great week improving our tennis; playing with a great variety of people. The coaches were all excellent and the game play challenging. They care about what they and want you to get the best out of each day. The liberty resort where the tennis was played was a great place to unwind after tennis and the variety of food on option was a delight. I have just had my third wonderful week with Active Away at Liberty Lykia in Turkey. The booking process was very easy with a great website. Right from the start we were meet by the smiling faces of two of the coaches as well as Steve the boss!! The resort is amazing with fabulous facilities. The hotel staff were both friendly and very helpful, my room on the adult side was very comfortable with everything you would need. The quality of the food was excellent with a huge choice at the buffet. All the coaches were great - enthusiastic, energetic, really encouraging and good fun. An exceptional coaching team who took us through a new programme, devised by Jamie Murray, to help polish our doubles play. I played with lots of different people through the week. Admin was efficient from the outset and the week itself was perfect - great resort, good coaching programme, interesting mix of coaches and the team made it easy for all the guests to mix and create a great atmosphere. Fantastic experience from the moment we arrived at the airport, to leaving via transfer from the hotel (Liberty Lykia - Adults Only). We partook in Active Away's new doubles coaching program, endorsed and co-written by Jamie Murray and I can absolutely see why. What seems to separate Active Away from many other activity holidays is their seamless ability to combine hosting with coaching and to a high standard on both. You don't need to be an experienced tennis player to go on these trips - I was fairly new to tennis and doubles play but felt much more confident at the end of the week. And I went away with my Dad who was at a higher level than me, which didn't in any way impact the trip. You can even come along and bring a partner who may not be interested in doing tennis but the hosts will ensure you are well looked after. Their flexibility and commitment to your holiday won't go unnoticed. Thanks to Steve and the whole coaching team who made this trip one to remember. We will be back!

I would highly recommend Active Away. Having spent time on their clinics and decided to book a solo Tennis Holiday to Turkey. Being a single traveler I was made to feel welcome and the training was excellent. The hotel of choice was first class and I could not have wanted for a more enjoyable time. On the holidays you can play as much or as little as you wish. Every aspect of the trip is communicated very well. You know where to be and who you are playing with. They are so organised and will do everything to help make your trip relaxing so you can enjoy the holiday and tennis.

This was one of the best holidays I have been on! The tennis coaching was amazing. I had never been on a tennis holiday before so I don’t have a point of comparison but I cannot fault it and I really want to go again next year! The set up of the day was really enjoyable too. Tennis- gap to do something else - tennis. The hotel we were at - the Liberty Lykia - was also perfect. The food, entertainment, customer service and facilities were all five star. There’s nothing else I can say except I’m hoping my holidays line up next year so I can go again!

I could not recommend Active Away more highly - the trip was brilliant. Fantastic tennis coaching which is so well-structured and teaches really important skills. And the social side was great - the coaches were so much fun and made it such a great holiday and experience.

My first time going on an Active Away holiday. I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody who loves the sport. It’s not only a great way to improve your game but you also get to meet and socialise with some fabulous people in the process. Already planning my next one.

Great tennis holiday

We went to Liberty Lykia with Active Away. We were a little apprehensive at attending such an organised and structured holiday but we should not have worried at all. The organisation, the venue, the coaching and the environment created by the AA team was absolutely first class. We could not fault them in any way and will definitely be booking again. Our sincere thanks to Matt and the team for such a great holiday experience.

From start to finish this holiday has been superb. Matt and the coaching team were so welcoming and accommodating and could not do enough to make this holiday a fantastic experience. They really care about providing a great holiday for all. From meet and greet at the airport to booking various restaurants for evening dining and socialising with us each evening. They made sure we were ok, all our needs met, questions answered and provided a really inclusive and attentive service. They genuinely care about making our holiday a great experience. WhatsApp updates and reminders everyday also made the whole time easy to navigate. Tennis coaching was fun, entertaining and so informative. Absolutely brilliant!! Certainly learned a lot to put into practice. A great balance of learning and then implementing into our game! Resort is amazing. Great variety of food with friendly staff. Beaches and pools are superb. It’s spotlessly clean and in a beautiful location.

If you like tennis, sunshine and a lot of fun this is the holiday for you. The team from Activeaway look after you brilliantly. In my experience there is no better tennis holiday.

A really great experience. Can’t wait to return next year. Will be our fourth year and it never disappoints. Coaching and social was top class. Professional fun and individual. Our 3rd time with Active Away and yet again we were not disappointed. Everything about the week was 10/10. The tennis coaching is of a high quality in small groups of 4/6 players with 1 coach so you get every opportunity to improve upon your game. The explanation of doubles play/tactics is broken down and demonstrated with time to practice it. There is also the opportunity to have 1 to 1 coaching. I have learnt so much and looking forward now to putting it all into practice. The whole package was about full inclusion no matter what your level of play was. The whole resort was exceptional. We can’t wait for the next time.

Had my friends invited me when they booked twelve months ago I would have fudged and declined for many reasons, not least believing my tennis was not good enough. I really never thought I was a tennis camp sort of a person. But having taken up a slot at short notice I have enjoyed one of the best trips I’ve ever had. The focus of tennis within a sunshine holiday is a great combination. I’ve never been to such a big resort nor done all inclusive but the format worked perfectly in this scenario.
