We’re incredibly proud to announce the launch of our brand-new Active Away Schools Tour Programme – and what better way to kick things off than with a school that shares our passion for sport, adventure, and unforgettable experiences. Newcastle-under-Lyme School joined us for an action-packed trip during the first week of Wimbledon, and what a start it was!
This tour marks a significant milestone in our journey to bring high-quality, tennis-focused experiences to schools across the UK and beyond. With our passion for the sport and a deep understanding of what makes a memorable school trip, we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.
The adventure began on Wednesday 3rd July 2025, as the students and staff from Newcastle-under-Lyme School arrived in London to experience the magic of Wimbledon. Armed with Court No.1 tickets, the group enjoyed a spectacular day of world-class tennis under the blazing summer sun.
For many students, it was their first time at Wimbledon – a bucket-list moment for any tennis fan. The chance to see their idols up close, witness the intensity of live matchplay, and soak in the iconic surroundings of SW19 left a lasting impression on everyone involved.
After their time at the All England Club, the group headed to the prestigious Lensbury Hotel in Teddington, nestled on the banks of the River Thames. This beautiful four-star property provided the perfect retreat to relax, unwind, and reflect on the day’s excitement.
The next morning began with a hearty full English breakfast before heading to the tennis courts. Our expert coaching duo, Dan and Sophie, delivered an energising 2-hour session that combined technical skills, tactical thinking, and matchplay drills – all tailored to the students’ abilities.
The atmosphere was one of encouragement, improvement, and fun – exactly what a school tennis tour should be. The smiles said it all!
So, what exactly is the Active Away Schools Tennis Tour? It’s our latest venture designed to give schools access to top-level tennis experiences – whether here in the UK or further afield. Our aim is simple: to take the stress out of trip planning, and replace it with excitement, development, and connection through tennis.

Behind the scenes of this new initiative is our very own George, Head of Schools Tours. A lifelong tennis enthusiast and experienced organiser, George has embraced the role with passion and purpose. He’s spent the past year building strong partnerships, designing incredible itineraries, and working closely with schools to understand exactly what’s needed to deliver a standout trip.

As part of our commitment to inspiring the next generation, we’re also running non-residential summer tennis camps at locations across the UK. These camps are perfect for children looking to stay active during the holidays, develop their skills, and have fun in a positive, inclusive environment.
Led by our qualified coaching team, sessions focus on racket skills, footwork, matchplay, and teamwork, all while keeping it light-hearted and motivating. Whether your child is brand new to tennis or plays regularly, our camps are an excellent way to build confidence on and off the court.
