Can the single supplement be removed after booking?

The single supplement can be removed from your booking but only if you decide to share a room with someone.

Can I share a room with someone who I don't know?

We donโ€™t offer the option to share a room with someone you donโ€™t already know.

How do I know what Pickleball standard to input?

One of our biggest challenges is making sure everyone is matched up to someone of a similar standard. Hereโ€™s a little more information:

You will Play Up & Play Down โ€“ There will be times during your Active Away Padel Holiday where you โ€˜Play Up a levelโ€™ (maybe even against the coaches) and also times where youโ€™ll โ€˜Play Down a Level. We try to make this as even as possible.

Changing Groups โ€“ Please never be afraid to speak to your host about changing groups if you feel over/under challenged.

Can I pay my balance in monthly instalments?

We operate on the following payment terms:

  • 35% Deposit at the time of Booking

  • Balance Payment 12 Weeks before Travel

  • If you would like to pay your balance before itโ€™s due, just contact us here.

What is your cancellation policy?

At Active Away, we genuinely care about our guests and are committed to providing the best support possible.

Are flights included?

Flights are not included in our package. However, both the Pickleball programme and accommodation are included, and you can add airport transfers for an additional cost.

Are airport transfers included?

They are not included within our base package, but can be added upon booking. You can read more about Airport Transfers here.

What is the Single Occupancy Supplement?

The Single Occupancy Supplement needs to be added to your booking if you are staying in a room on your own.

a) Why do I have to pay the Single Occupancy Supplement? Our pricing is based on 2 sharing a room and all prices displayed on our website are โ€˜Per Person.โ€™

b) Can someone else share my room if Iโ€™ve paid for the Single Occupancy of it? No. We are charged different rates for the number of people in the room. A second person must pay either the full price or the non-playing price.

c) Do you make any margin on the Single Occupancy Supplement? No, we actually even pass any early booking discount we get with hotels to our guests. We do our best to negotiate the best prices possible for Single Occupancy as we appreciate this is a prohibitive booking factor.

Am I financially protected?

Yes, your holiday is protected through the Package Travel Regulations if your booking has more than 1 part โ€“ for example: Accommodation & Pickleball.

How do I apply my discount code?

You can only use 1 Discount Code per Pickleball Holiday.

Who will be hosting my holiday?

Your holiday will be hosted by one of our highly trained Pickleball experts. They are extremely personable and friendly!

Will I feel left out/lonely if I join on my own?

Without a doubt no! Socialising is one of our biggest USPs outside of our padel coaching programme and one of the reasons we have so many repeat customers. Many of our clients come alone and meet friends for life.

Off the court, we love to create lasting memories by dining together and enjoying the evening entertainment.

How do I add extra nights onto my holiday?

To add extra nights onto your holiday, please email our back-office team here and weโ€™ll provide you with quotes and availability.

How long does it take for my booking to be confirmed?

We aim to confirm all bookings within 24 to 48 hours of your initial reservation.

Can I bring a non-playing partner or family member?

Absolutely, the more the merrier! Non-playing guests can enjoy a ยฃ200 discount on their booking. All our resorts offer a variety of activities so they wonโ€™t get bored, and they are always welcome to join the group for meals.

Are there any additional costs I should be made aware of?

At one of our venues, it is a B&B board basis meaning there will be an extra charge for lunches, dinners, and any drinks you wish to buy during your holiday.

Weโ€™ll also be dining outside the hotel for some meals, so please keep this in mind. Additionally, if youโ€™re interested in excursions, having some cash on hand will be useful for any activities you wish to join.

Since both of our Padel Hotels operate on a B&B basis, breakfast is included, but lunch, dinner, and drinks are additional and will be added to your room bill to be settled at the end of your stay.

Weโ€™ll also be dining outside the hotel for some meals, so please keep this in mind. Additionally, if youโ€™re interested in excursions, having some cash on hand will be useful for any activities you wish to join.

Can you recommend/help me with flights?

Absolutely! We have created a handy tool here to help you search for flights, with our partner SkyScanner.

I have a dietary requirement, do I need to let you know?

While the resorts we partner with are able to accommodate all dietary requirements, please inform us here so that our team can make a note of this on your booking. This will ensure that your host is aware upon your arrival.

I've booked my trip and would like to invite my friends. Will I receive a referral discount for this?

What do I need to bring on my padel holiday?

Is there an opportunity for private coaching?

If youโ€™re looking for a challenge, need a confidence boost, or want to focus on something specific, our coaches are available for private lessons outside the tennis programme.

Pricing varies by coach and can be arranged directly with them at the resort.

My flights have changed and I have a transfer booked with you, how do I let you know?

Donโ€™t worry โ€“ just complete this form with your new Transfer Information and weโ€™ll sort everything out for you.

Do I need to pack my own paddle (Pickleball Bat)?

Yes, we recommend bringing your own, however if you do not own one yourself, there are paddle you can rent at both resorts.

On the Trip

Assuming the hotel has availability, why not!

Most definitely! To become a group organiser, please complete our short Contact Us form here. We will take of your group and make sure youโ€™re all accommodated.

Can I have a private lesson whilst I'm here?

Absolutely! Choose your preferred coach from our team, and they will coordinate the lesson and payment directly with you.

Do I need to pre-order for the evening meals?

At some resorts, we will need to pre-order as a group to ensure the evening meals run smoothly. To pre-order, please click here.

I'm feeling sore/achey. Do I need to take part in every session?

Not at all! This is your holiday and we want you to enjoy it as much as possible which means you can play as much or as little as you would like.

Just let your host know so they can plan for the day around this.

Can I switch groups if I feel like I'm in the wrong one?

Yes! If you feel like you are being under or over challenged please do inform your host who will accommodate the groups accordingly.

I don't feel like dining with the group tonight, can I eat separately?

Of course โ€“ thatโ€™s no problem at all! Just let your host know that you will be doing your own thing tonight.

How do I find out my transfer departure time?

Your host will share the transfer list in the group chat a couple of days before departure, and youโ€™ll also receive an email. If youโ€™d like the information sooner, feel free to ask your host.

How do I give my feedback?

At Active Away, we are always looking to improve so any feedback you have please do make sure to share.

I'd like to try a different restaurant tonight instead of dining with the group. How can I go about booking this?

If youโ€™d like to try a different restaurant than the group, please let your host know, and theyโ€™ll handle the reservation for you.
