We’ve got it – you are considering booking or have booked an Adult Pickleball Holiday and have a few queries? We’ve heard every question you can imagine and have answered those below for you!

The single supplement can be removed from your booking but only if you decide to share a room with someone.

We don’t offer the option to share a room with someone you don’t already know.

One of our biggest challenges is making sure everyone is matched up to someone of a similar standard. Here’s a little more information:

You will Play Up & Play Down – There will be times during your Active Away Pickleball Holiday where you ‘Play Up a level’ (maybe even against the coaches) and also times where you’ll ‘Play Down a Level. We try to make this as even as possible.

Changing Groups – Please never be afraid to speak to your host about changing groups if you feel over/under challenged.

You don’t have to do the full programme if you don’t want to! We have all levels of fitness on our holidays – from 35 – 80 year olds. We would recommend a basic level of fitness.

We operate on the following payment terms:

35% Deposit at the time of Booking

Balance Payment 12 Weeks before Travel

At Active Away, we genuinely care about our guests and are committed to providing the best support possible.

Flights are not included in our package. However, both the pickleball programme and accommodation are included, and you can add airport transfers for an additional cost.

They are not included within our base package, but can be added upon booking. You can read more about Airport Transfers here.

The Single Occupancy Supplement needs to be added to your booking if you are staying in a room on your own.

a) Why do I have to pay the Single Occupancy Supplement? Our pricing is based on 2 sharing a room and all prices displayed on our website are ‘Per Person.’ 

b) Can someone else share my room if I’ve paid for the Single Occupancy of it? No. We are charged different rates for the number of people in the room. A second person must pay either the full price or the non-playing price.

c) Do you make any margin on the Single Occupancy Supplement? No, we actually even pass any early booking discount we get with hotels to our guests. We do our best to negotiate the best prices possible for Single Occupancy as we appreciate this is a prohibitive booking factor.

Yes, your holiday is protected through the Package Travel Regulations if your booking has more than 1 part – for example: Accommodation & Pickleball.

You can only use 1 Discount Code per Pickleball Holiday.

Your holiday will be hosted by one of our highly trained pickleball experts. 

Without a doubt no! Socialising is one of our biggest USPs outside of our pickleball coaching programme and one of the reasons we have so many repeat customers. Many of our clients come alone and meet friends for life.

Off the court, we love to create lasting memories by dining together and enjoying the evening entertainment.

We aim to confirm all bookings within 24 to 48 hours of your initial reservation.

Absolutely, the more the merrier! All our resorts offer a variety of activities so they won’t get bored, and they are always welcome to join the group for meals.

Additional costs may apply depending on the hotel you’re staying at, the board basis of that hotel and if you choose to join the group at one of the a la carte restaurants.

Absolutely! We have created a handy tool here to help you search for flights, with our partner SkyScanner.

While the resorts we partner with are able to accommodate all dietary requirements, please inform us here so that our team can make a note of this on your booking. This will ensure that your host is aware upon your arrival.

Absolutely! If your friend(s) have never participated in an Active Away event before, you will receive a £50 referral discount for each person who books a holiday based on your referral.

Yes, we recommend bringing your own, however if you do not own one yourself, there are pickleball paddles you can rent.

If you’re looking for a challenge, need a confidence boost, or want to focus on something specific, our coaches are available for private lessons outside the tennis programme.

Pricing varies by coach and can be arranged directly with them at the resort.

Most definitely! To become a group organiser, please complete our short Contact Us form here. We will take of your group and make sure you’re all accommodated.

Absolutely! Choose your preferred coach from our team, and they will coordinate the lesson and payment directly with you.

At some resorts, we will need to pre-order as a group to ensure the evening meals run smoothly. To pre-order, please click here.

Not at all! This is your holiday and we want you to enjoy it as much as possible which means you can play as much or as little as you would like.

Just let your host know so they can plan for the day around this.

Most of the resorts we visit offer free court bookings, but feel free to confirm with your host, who can assist you in reserving courts at the sports centre or through reception.

Yes! If you feel like you are being under or over challenged please do inform your host who will accommodate the groups accordingly.

Of course – that’s no problem at all! Just let your host know that you will be doing your own thing tonight.

Your host will share the transfer list in the group chat a couple of days before departure, and you’ll also receive an email. If you’d like the information sooner, feel free to ask your host.
